Did you know we have e-newsletters and online book clubs? Did you know that you could get an email with the New York Times Bestseller lists sent directly to your email each week? You can easily link to the library’s catalog and request books or place holds on popular titles. We also have over 20 monthly online newsletters covering a variety of non-fiction topics such as biographies and science as well as newsletters for all the fiction genres. Sign up here!
Want to get a taste of the book before you commit? Join one of our 12 online book clubs. Each weekday, you’ll receive an email with part of a book (about 5 minutes of reading) and at the end of the week, if you decide you like the book, you can come in and check it out. Click here to sign up!
Are you an audio book lover? Did you just get an ebook reader and need some books to download? In addition, to our audiobook electronic newsletter and our audiobook club, you might want to check out Overdrive, our database of downloadable audiobooks and e-books.
Finally, if you are in the library, you might want to have a look at our new Reader’s Area at the end of the magazine room. Browse books in our new Reader’s Advisory collection, such as Read On…Crime Fiction, The Reader’s Advisory Guide to Graphic Novels or A Few Good Books. Pull up a comfy chair and flip through a copy of one of our new magazine’s for booklovers such as BookMarks, Mystery Scene or Romantic Times. On your way out, don’t forget to grab a complimentary copy of BookPage – a great place to read author interviews and learn about new books.
