This is one of two books I actually tried to read on my Kindle during the early days of the shutdown. I’m more of an actual book person, but I do enjoy reading ebooks while drying my hair.
Lady Anne Glenconner and her life as a confidante of Princess Margaret plus her marriage to the bizarre Colin Tennant appealed to me as a reader of all things British Royalty (up to and including Princess Diana). As Royal biographies go, it was OK. I fell behind in my reading and with one day left of my loan, I settled on the couch with my afternoon tea only to have it expire with 25% of the book left to read.
I never did borrow it again so I could finish it, but the three quarters I did get through weren’t bad.
