The Vintner’s Daughter transports us back to the 1800’s and into vineyard life offering a bit of romance, tragedy and an interesting look into the wine-making process during this time so long ago. Kristen Harnish’s research and affection for turn-of-the-century wine making in France and California is evident and beautifully described in this story of a young woman’s battle to hold onto her family’s winery. A bit predictable but fans of historical fiction featuring strong women will find plenty to like here.
