Marvel had a wild and crazy day back on October 28th, dropping a whole lot of news regarding Phase 3 of the Cinematic Universe (MCU). If you weren’t on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, the Web, Earth that day or ever since, you might not know what’s what in terms of which superhero is getting her/his/their own movie and when. Fear not! There are lists for that.
2016-2017 | 2018-2019 |
---|---|
May 6 2016: Captain America: Civil War November 4 2016: Doctor Strange May 5 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2 July 28 2017: Thor: Ragnarok Nov 3 2017: Black Panther |
May 4 2018: Avengers: Infinity War Part I July 6 2018: Captain Marvel Nov 2 2018: Inhumans May 3 2019: Avengers: Infinity War Part II |
You’ll notice a few familiar faces in that bunch: Cap, Thor, the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s great that they’re coming back! That Marvel is introducing other superheroes to the MCU is even better! But maybe you’ve never heard of Black Panther; maybe the name Carol Danvers rings not a single bell; or maybe you just have no clue what, exactly, an Inhuman might be. If you’re looking for some background (any background at all; we’re talking scraps here and newer ones at that), stop in because we can help.
This post is dedicated to Captain Marvel, the superhero formerly known as Ms Marvel and still known as Carol Danvers. What you’ll find below are books we have here in our library, almost all of them solo titles, in which maybe Cap or Iron Man or Star-Lord makes an appearance but the story rests on Carol’s capable shoulders.
