Home Delivery Service
The Peabody Institute Library’s Home Delivery Service (HDS) provides library materials to residents of Danvers who are unable to come to the library. HDS is also available to residents of short-and long-term care facilities located in Danvers.
If you are interested, please come in for an application, or download it here. You can return it to the library or attach a photograph of the form to an email and send it to jmparsons@noblenet.org. The Community and Outreach Librarian will contact you to discuss your preferences and set up a delivery schedule.
Little Libraries of Danvers
The Library keeps up our Little Libraries of Danvers. You can spot these libraries all over town! You can see the on our Google Map, and here are the addresses:
- Choate Farm: 349 Locust Street
- Putnamville Park: Along the Rail Trail: Locust and Wenham Streets
- Endicott Park: 57 Forest Street
- Hobart Street: Along the Rail Trail 26 Hobart Street
- New Brothers Deli: 31 Maple Street
- Pope’s Landing Marine: 10 Harbor Street
- Sandy Beach: At the entrance to the beach, off River Street, across from John L. George Park.
Feel free to take a book or leave a book!
Pop-Up Library
You never know when we’ll pop up! The Pop-Up Library consists of a table, a laptop, books, flyers, and your friendly neighborhood Community and Outreach Librarian!
From this setup, we can:
- Check out books
- Make library cards
- Put books on hold, and
- Promote library programs
Where can you find the Pop-Up Library?
We show up at community events! We Popped-Up to Light the Night Purple, Pride celebrations, the Healing and Unity Event, Juneteenth, the Latinx Heritage Month, the
Danvers Summer Concert Series, and more!
Venues
Some of the places you will find the Pop-Up Library are the New England Homes for the Deaf, the Linden, Brightview, the Danvers Senior Center and the YMCA.
