Widely regarded as the Queen of Mystery, Agatha Christie, according to publishing house HarperCollins, is the “most widely published author of all time, outsold only by the Bible and Shakespeare”. That may account for several things: the perennial adaptations of her work for the small and big screen (Jennifer Garner will be playing a young Miss Marple in an upcoming feature film), her “appearance” in an episode of Doctor Who (during David Tennant’s reign, as seen below), and HarperCollins’ re-release of Christie’s greatest hits (many of which have recently been added to our collection and are currently on display on the third floor).
