Photographs that catch people in the act of everyday activities are among my favorites. Kertesz photographs people from all over the world and all walks of life reading books and newspapers. Some of the photos are great because they capture the way a book can possess and transport a reader while others tell stories about who the readers might be. W.W. Norton is re-releasing this photography classic this summer, but we have the older edition here in the library, so go ahead take a look.
I found a copy of this in a used bookstore and it’s a lovely little book. Glad to hear they are re-releasing it!
