- The West Virginia Book Faire wants fair goers to take a bite out of their favorite books. “The whole idea behind the festival is to get people reading,” said Weiss, who is overseeing the edible book competition. “Using food to represent a book or other piece of literature offers a great opportunity to do something artistic, and it’s fun to do whether you’re working along or with a group of friends or family.
